In the night as I lie beside you,

I feel your heart beat for me.

 

I hold my breath in the hopes that you will,

love me?

 

For in a breath I hold your love in my heart,

I hold you deeply in my passion.

 

Lady would your heart beat be as strong as mine,

if it whispered in your soul?  

 

Could our love be as strong as,

it is with the words we tell each other?

 

Could it beat stronger than it does now?

 

Would it be love with the passion that it feels?

I thought I never would find you.

 

Love whispered in my ear…

and I have waited for so long.

 

Lady so many ways I want to say I…

love you.

 

Could you deny what your heart feels?

Would you love the others?

 

Will you love for the sake of loving?

Or will you love me for loving…

You?

The question you ask at the end sums it up when we seek a partner as a great difference is found when loves for the sake of saying they have someone to love rather than loving and accepting the other person for who they are. There are those who love to love, but this type of love is that which does not last.
