You are one of my dearest sweetest friends,

if I lost you my world would cry.

 

We have laughed and sighed,

in the way only the closest of friends could.

 

I know I get sad sometimes,

but please dear friend please don’t give up on me.

 

I need you in my life,

in the same way I need air.

 

You have comforted me,

in ways that only a friend could.

 

You are in my thoughts when I have that first morning cup,

you are who I talk to in my mind when the world passes by.

 

Yes dear friend in some ways we are closer,

than two lovers.

 

So please don’t give up on me,

my world would shatter.

Love the entire poem, but this line just curls up in my heart. To have that kind of friendship is so special and so very rare. I do hope sweet Vidya forgives you...I bet she will after reading this lovely poem.
