To my Father PaulA Poem by ronTo
my Father Paul
Dear dad I know I was not perfect; I lied to you and
Mom on occasion because I was ashamed of what I did. I was never the perfect
son.
As I grew up you taught me with a firm and loving hand.
You guided me when I most needed it and showed me what compassion was.
You showed me how to love, to stand up and accept the punishment for when I was
wrong, but you also taught me how to stand my ground in
what I believed was right, and to protect the ones who could not.
You gave me more than I have given myself, forgive me Dad for not learning that lesson. But I am learning from the things you have taught me… It will take a life time but I will always try.
Your loving son; Ron. © 2014 ronReviews
