Trapped here without youA Poem by ronTrapped here without you
I sit here lost in this place, lost between me here and you there.
I can have what ever my tastes could imagine, what ever dream I ever had would be supplied.
The music, drink, food, or person, no matter what it or they would be used for.
All of which would be sacrificed for my pleasure.
I have all I could ever need, want, desire, or dream of...except one.
In here you are gone. Try as I might the doors will not open.
The windows or all barred, no key could be found.
The moon refuses to shine, through this gilded cages windows.
But one day I will escape, I have been building a tunnel, a tunnel out past the walls, past the guards that keep me here.
It will not be an escape written in the pages of history, no poet will write of it.
The only one who will know of my freedom, will be you when we are finally in each others arms, and freedoms kiss is felt through the ages. © 2014 ronReviews
