LonelinessA Poem by ronLoneliness
I feel the cold hand of loneliness slip in, surrounded by your love, yet time and distance makes it hard.
Sometimes I lie awake and close my eyes, I reach for you...
My body cries to feel you next to me, the way my heart does.
My lips burn to feel yours...
Running my finger over my lips I inhale. How I wish it was your fingers caressing my lips.
I long to fall asleep feeling your heart beating beneath my hand, reassuring that mine still beats.
I will bottle my tears of love, and keep them safe until you are here.
I have no doubt you believe our love for each other is real, it’s just that loneliness makes the bed cold.
Until we meet at a time we both agreed on, know that my love for you will not falter. © 2014 ronReviews
