From the moment I met you,

my heart beat perfectly in time with yours.

 

When I ask you to marry me it will be perfect,

because I am asking “you”.

 

Our wedding ceremony will be perfect,

because you are there.

 

Our wedding night will be perfect,

because I will finally be able to make love to you.

 

The children we have will be perfect,

in every way.

 

Our life together will be perfect,

because of you.

 

Did I mention how perfect you are?

 

Just in case I forgot to mention...

 

You are perfect in every way,

and I am...

Perfectly in love with you.

After I re read the poem I started to underline a few words in each stanza to piece a second poem from the first. That,s why some of the words are underlined.

Wow, this poem is absolutely stunning. It brings warmth to my heart to know that there are people that really know the true meaning of "love". You, my dear friend, know the meaning of it. I am used to poems being either depressing or lustful. Your poem is written out of pure love. I love that too. It makes me yearn for a close relationship like this, but God has it planned for me sometime in the future. I did not see any errors in your poem. I kind of liked the way you underlined certain pieces. You could edit your writing if you wanted to change it. But if not, that is still cool. I would recommend underlining the word "perfect" everywhere you had written it. (to put emphasis on the title of your poem) I especially love this:

"Our wedding night will be perfect,

because I will finally be able to make love to you."

There are not a lot of people that are willing to wait in a relationship. The ability to wait until marriage and express their REAL gift with one another is awesome. I cannot wait for that moment. I cannot applaud you enough for this amazing piece. I will begin to read more of your work, Ron. :)

Thank you Ashley. It was written from my love for her. The underlined parts are to fit like puzzle pieces in the second poem at the bottom. It is the first time I tried anything like this before. Yes I want her first time to be on our wedding night.
