Inspired by the song of the same title.

Demons

 

 

 

We all hide behind ourselves,

not allowing others to see the worst of who we are.

 

In the shadows our demons live,

trying to bring us down.

 

Look in my eyes and you will see smiles that shine like stars,

but if you look in my darkness you will see I am not who you think I am.

 

I will not let the world see my demons,

how could I...it burns who I am.

 

My soul is fragile,

barely able to hold on to life.

 

Then you came into my world,

your love pushed through the darkness.

 

You fought my demon and saved me from myself,

and that my dear love...

that I will never forget,

nor could I ever repay your love in a thousand life times.

 

To my love and all she made me feel...

I will love you for an eternity,

even after I am dead and gone.
