Slowly I close my eyes

Slowly I close my eyes

A Poem by ron

Slowly I close my eyes

You’re not here to hold me,

to kiss me.

Through the distance I feel your heart,

beating with love.

I sigh and once again I dream of you,

your finger wrapped around my heart.

I inhale your memory,

and breathe out to feel you.

I can feel your lips so close to mine,

I lick my lips and catch the bottom one between my teeth,

and inhale.

I feel your fingers drawing on my chest,

I’m caught in this moment...

When slowly I close my eyes.
