Would you say hello?A Poem by ronWould you say hello?
Standing the the farthest corner of the room. I see them standing and talking.
They flirt with the jocks, and accept the cheerleaders into their circle.
I am not jock material, nor would a cheerleader even ask me for the time of day.
Why would they, I’m not perfect like them.
I know I won’t be anyone, when I grow up.
I will be the same old me, never amounting to much.
But I am happy, you see they have allowed me to stay.
As long as I stay in my corner, and don’t say a single word,
They said they don’t hate me, I just don’t fit in.
They are really doing me a favor, that's what they told me.
I put on a smile so they know I appreciate what they have done for me, but inside I am lonely.
All I ever wanted was to hear, hello. © 2014 ronReviews
