My heart had walls

 

 

 

I put up theses walls,

I built them strong over time.

 

I hid them from the world,

so no one would try to break in.

 

You walked down the path,

along that edge my walls.

 

You smiled and I watched,

with no innocence to guide me.

 

You said hello,

I was a fool to respond.

 

How could you have gotten,

so close to my walls?

 

And yet you were there,

each time I came out.

 

I crept a little closer,

to find out what you wanted.

 

With a single sigh and the beating of your heart,

MY WALLS..my walls, came crumbling down.

 

I was to blind to see,

no walls between you and me.

 

Now I know why you did this to me,

you loved my heart when I couldn't feel.

 

You took my hand and held it to yours,

and now an Angel stands next to me.

Don't keep your walls up too long, Ron... You'll get used to it and let no one in, but I can see from reading Vidya's review that you have a special someone. :) Good on you for bringing them down, just take it easy.
