My heart had wallsA Poem by ronMy heart had walls
I put up theses walls, I built them strong over time.
I hid them from the world, so no one would try to break in.
You walked down the path, along that edge my walls.
You smiled and I watched, with no innocence to guide me.
You said hello, I was a fool to respond.
How could you have gotten, so close to my walls?
And yet you were there, each time I came out.
I crept a little closer, to find out what you wanted.
With a single sigh and the beating of your heart, MY WALLS..my walls, came crumbling down.
I was to blind to see, no walls between you and me.
Now I know why you did this to me, you loved my heart when I couldn't feel.
You took my hand and held it to yours, and now an Angel stands next to me. © 2014 ronReviews
