The “Hello”

The “Hello”

 

 

It started with a word “Hello”,

I hadn't planned to go down that road.

 

But there it was as plain as can be,

the hello that started my heart to beat.

 

Then it was “how have you been”,

now this alone was not the end.

 

Soon the meanings changed,

“I haven’t seen you in a while,

was thinking about you while you were gone”.

 

I thought to my self “what a sweet person they are,

to think of me all this time”.

 

Then the words really started to change,

“how come you did say hi, or tell me that you would be gone for such a long time”?

 

Then I started to see,

what this person was feeling for me.

 

This can’t be right I told myself,

“no one has paid much attention to me in such a long while”.

 

But there it was,

my heart beat every time I saw them on.

 

Now it beats out of control,

it all started with just a “hello”.
