The shy one in townA Poem by ronThe shy one in town
I may be shy and feel invisible, but my heart is big even if I don’t speak.
I hide inside of myself, wishing I had the nerve to say hello.
I blush when you walk past me, I even notice the way you wear your hair.
I gasp if you drop your books, wishing I had the courage to help.
I shuffle my feet after someone helped, as I walk away to scared to do anything.
I am the one they call a geek, because I stumble my words when I try to say speak.
I walk home alone dreaming of what it would be like, to just walk next to you in the day or at night.
The next day at school is as long as it was yesterday, trying to get the courage to pass you this note...
(The note) I know you don’t see me, and I’m not your type... but I wrote you this poem from deep within my heart. I have watched you as you walk to class, we have the same one three times a day. I dream of you saying “hello, or will you carry my books to my door”.
I would carry your lunch to your table, and sit quietly as you talked to your friends. I know I’m not the boy you notice, but my will love you for as long as it beats. Signed; Your secret admirer day after day.
P.S. I never had the courage to even write the poem. © 2014 ronReviews
