Masks in Monochromatic ShadesA Poem by ronMasks in Monochromatic Shades
Masks hiding monochromatic shades of life. Dance the music in gaudy costumes as wooden floors echo each sound. Covered in fake shimmering glass, lace along the edges showing empty class.
No face will be exposed as we hold our masks close, hidden behind the Masquerades of our life.
Haunting string quartets make us act like puppets on stage. Dance you will, until the sun comes up.
Full moon hidden behind stormy clouds.
Meet a stranger, dance all night, you might have known them in a former life, but tonight we dance in monochromatic shades of our life.
Dare not lower your mask, lest the rest of the Ball discover who you are. Puppets at this masquerade, splashed in shades of monochromatic hues of our life. © 2014 ronReviews
