With melting glancesA Poem by ronWith melting glances
I know a lot of poems are written with erotic metaphors, and passions written in words of love.
I know I have written many like that, but this one I would like to just caress the heart and soul.
So if you the reader will please indulge this whim of mine, I will try my best to make my heart yours.
With soft caring glances wrapped in tones of love, I would like to caress your heart and show you what I love most.
Gentle touches lovingly given, I look in your eyes and sigh.
Soft whispers gently placed, with kisses from deep within my heart.
Would you let me brush the hair from your face, so I can look deep in your eyes?
I promise no touch will be given by me, if it does not contain love in their finger tips.
To smell your scent of passion, on your lips so divine.
I would read you poetry until the sun came up, and spread before you a feast for when you awake.
Touching your cheeks as you sleep, wondering what your eyes dream of.
To me this is love, beyond any metaphoric lust.
To watch you sleep, with the smile that hides your thoughts.
To me this is love, beyond passions dreams. To know in my heart I belong to you.
Would you do the same when I’m asleep, dreaming of you and melting glances? © 2014 ron |
