Tantalizing poemsA Poem by ronTantalizing poems
Some poems are such a treat that they can be tasted with your eyes, (or fingers if you read braille). Some touch deeper then we would like.
Some pick at desires only felt when brushed with a wish. Some are felt deep between our thoughts and dreams.
When you close your eyes and read a poem with your imagination, do you feel it slide deep into your subconscious?
Could your body feel the collide of words upon your beating heart? Does your pulse race as the taste of fantasy touches the tip of your tongue?
Could you close your eyes and feel it wrap around you like a long lost lover, in the middle of the night?
Do you revisit such words in the middle of the day, or when your alone at night? Do such poems feel like an affair that has gone horribly right?
Could you sleep after reading one, or does it make you toss and turn in the night?
In the morning do you find the poem wrapped around your body, like blankets after a night of making love?
As for me... this is what poetry does to me. © 2014 ron |
