If you only knew my deepest desires

 

 

They hide in the dark corners of my mind,

afraid to come in to the light.

 

These feelings of desire,

no one knows the ones that hide.

 

If they ever came into the light,

I would hide them and bury them deeper inside.

 

I would push them down (just like before),

so not even I will ever know.

 

But they keep on surfacing,

it poke’s out it’s curious head.

 

It fills me with dread and freezes me in my tracks.

It’s a strange feeling of curiosity and fear.

 

What would they say if the really knew me,

like they all think they do.
