Dreams of ink on paperA Poem by ron
Dreams of ink on paper
And what of the dreams that have dried like ink on paper,
never to flow into others again?
Written once then hidden between the pages of lost dreams drying.
Could you feel the same excitement when you read it again as you did before it was dry?
Does wet ink feel the same as when you run your fingers over the words,
dried and lost on vellum with no space?
The first budding words of emotions, thought, and feelings, lost in the haze of your mind as it flows onto the paper, not allowing you to be in control.
Swirling, flowing, like a first kiss,
or first thoughts of summers desires exploding into a million passions never known or imagined just as ecstasy culminates and explodes beyond the stars.
Breathless before the ink has time to dry,
you pour over the words and relive each moment, each phrase, each tantalizing
sensation as if they were lovers never to be felt again.
Is this what it feels like as dreams dry on paper like ink?
