With MoonlightA Poem by ronWith Moonlight
Moonlight shines through the trees as I sit and watch you by the lake. It surrounds you like a blanket.
Would my beating heart give me away? Each night I sit as still as a statue.
Each night I watch you in my dreams, each night I sit shyly and wish.
If only it were me she came here for. What a silly thought, your not here for me.
Yes you are in my dreams, but even there I am to shy to speak.
So each night I leave you a basket of flowers picked from my thoughts. Each night you kiss them...be still my beating heart.
Each night after you leave, I gently walk and trace your foot print in the sand.
One night I will wait with the basket in my hands. But for now Its all I can do to fall asleep and wait for you. © 2014 ron
