I wish you would read me

I wish you would read me

A Poem by ron

I wish you would read me

I wish I could tell you, I wish I could show,

the person inside who hides deep in my words.

Would you dare to come close,

or would you run away and hide?

I sit in my mind and curl up for the night.

She tells me she is proud of the poetry I write.

But if truth be told she won’t read them at all.

Oh she will listen to me read them, but one at one time.

I know I am not as cleaver as most other poets,

but it would be nice to see the expressions when she reads me her self.

So I write and I write, I don’t really care,

if she ever reads a poem that I wrote on a whim.

The romantic poems, the erotic ones to,

I write what I feel mostly for no one at all.

You have been a great reader for taking the time.

I am blessed to have some one read them at all.

Thank you for reading it means so much to me.

If I could shake your hand or hug you I would.

Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
