This is to celibate the 5 Gallons of Honey wine I will start to make today.

Making Mead (Honey Wine)

 

This is not a poem, just a notice of intent.

It’s the best time I could spend… OK maybe not the “Best”…but darn near close.

 

Today I venture on a new batch of Mead.

I make it for pleasure and the taste that will come.

 

It tastes just like wine…

but made with Honey instead.

 

It’s been called the Nectar of the gods and so much more.

 

The Vikings first made it, so the story is told.

A small band of hunters found a bee hive over turned.

 

The bee hive was filled with only water they thought,

but when they par-took what a wonderful surprise.

 It was the first time anyone had alcohol to try.

So they decided right then and there (OK so maybe after the hanger over)

to remake what the Gods had given them that day.

So it was born Oden’s drink to mankind.

It’s drunk in Valhalla until Ragnarok arrives. 

P.S. OK I couldn't help my self, maybe it is a poem.

Interesting piece. Perhaps consider it as a prose piece instead of breaking it up? Just a thought

Thank you. That is a good idea, I'm still trying to figure out the difference between poem's and pro's. It's frustrating...

No not at all - it's just that some pieces that are more descriptive and narrative lend themselves well to prose.
