I paid my heart away

I paid my heart away

A Poem by ron

I paid my heart away

As love and I met on a cold dark night,

We shared a lover’s embrace.

We kissed and cooed the night away,

How warm it made our hearts.

We shared more than morsels,

We feasted on passion.

We dined on the dessert of our needs.

We drank in the others scent, to quench the thirst.

The cold dark night.., the cold dark night.

How it tears at my soul.

For after the sun came up,

You stole my heart in your purse.

Sounds like you were allowing yourself to fall....enjoying the night and all it held. Then she ran off with your heart, did she? Not very ladylike now, is it? :) A sad tale...one that does happen all too often. When the price for a night filled with passion is having your heart stolen, it is not really worth it. Well written, Ron. Lydi**
