Who we are

Who we are

A Poem by ron

Who we are

Gunfire on the walls; shadows of past sins.

How the holes expose us all.

Hidden behind the ravages of time.

Would you look at me?

Could you stand the scares that hide who I am?

Would you hold me?

Bullet holes hide who we are.

Could you tell me who I am?

Could you at least tell me why?

Could you look in the faces of those who are here?

Could you tell them why?

Could you tell them why?

Do not beg for what is not possible.

Ask us what we can do.

Ask us and I will promise this…

We will rise up and take what is ours!!

I guess it is difficult to see through the eyes of someone who has seen their way of life and all we can do is empathise, the best we can, insightful work x

no problemo
Those holes and trenches tell alot about our life's battles and the possibilities of victory or defeat. But we have to sacrifice for the good cause and not the bad ones...A powerful write here...:)................
