To serve Passion

To serve Passion

A Poem by ron

To serve Passion

Would love be a kinder creature if it were to spurn me?

Could I hide my pain just out of sight?

Do I dare to venture out and feel its barbs sink deep into my heart?

Yes, I will. For that is what I am expected to do.

With bowed head and sentenced heart, I succumb to my desires.

For it drains me of my resolve and makes me a prisoner.

Is there no light to shine my way?

No, no there is no light to show me the path.

Unseen forces guide me, drawing me closer.

Once again I place myself on her alter.

I willingly serve this passion, my Mistress.

My Mistress revels in my obedience, my need to serve without question.

She will reward me; I know it.

I know it because she has promised me as much.

How does my Mistress reward me you might wonder?

My reward is between my Mistress and I.

(Smiling, because I was a good boy this time).
