More than Friends

More than Friends

A Poem by ron

More than Friends

Touches sweeter than wine.

A shy glace that sets the heart beating.

Lips pursed, waiting, wanting…

Needing.

I reach shyly for your hand, would you pull it away?

Could you be thinking the same thing I am?

Do you know that I glance at you and see…

The moonlight as it caresses your face?

Do you know how I hang on your every word?

Or wish you would let me in to see who you are?

I pull my hand away just before we touch.

If I don’t take your hand you won’t be able to push me away.

It’s better this way…

At least we are still friends.
