Slipping from your history

Slipping from your history

A Poem by ron

Slipping from your history

Off in the sunset of my mind…you sit with the people in the know.

I’m in the shadows of those that never wanted to see me.

I remind them of who they are, and never wanted to be.

If you would only hold me…even in the shadows than maybe, I could be…

Me.

But you sit with your back to the door hoping you can ignore who I am.

I walk away in the rain and shadows slipping from your history.

After all who am I to ever, have thought I could love you.
