Words between the lines

 

Words written between the lines.

Few can read them, and few understand why

 

Would you decipher my words?

Could you decipher my heart?

 

My feelings mingle between the lines.

My heart is open; it sits wanting more.

 

Would you care for the one that is wounded and torn?

Could you love the scares deep in my soul?

 

I am not easy to love; I have felt too much pain.

 But I sit in my safety hidden by the rain.

Sometimes the emotions hiding between the lines say more than the poem itself. At a certain point in life, we are all wounded whether it is physically or emotionally. I don't think anyone is easy to love....when the right comes along, it just works. Well written poetry. Lydi**
