Missing you

Missing you

A Poem by ron

Missing you

Have I offended you?

Did I not see you in the shadows of my heart?

You have gone away and left me in the dark.

Your light once shined in my emotions.

It was not your touch that I desired; it was the way you cared.

It was how you made me feel when all I felt was despair.

Now we see each other like two friends who pass each other might.

We know each other, but now we barely say hello, and never say goodnight.

Its more like a hand shake and less like a hug.

I don’t blame you; it was my own selfish thoughts.

You wanted to invite me in, to make me see the real you.

I was afraid to say anything; I am now a lonely fool.

Sad are those times when we live and learn. We do not always see the outcome of our actions until it is too late, and then we look back and realize the error of our ways. We pay in the end, and it is difficult for us to accept!
