One last diveA Poem by ronOne last dive
The storm rages on, wind and sleet, how the pain numbs. Blind to the edge of the cliff, I fly.
Taken to the edge I look down. Not the bottom I see.
Going faster blind to what is before me. Take me to the edge and back again.
Closer I fall, faster I fly. Again, to the edge, I can taste it calling to me.
Calling, calling, its song so sweet. Take me now let the pain float away.
I close my eyes and make one last dive. The air rushing by, wind tearing at my flesh.
I smile one last tear as the ground comes closer. © 2013 ronReviews
