I kiss your sleeping lips at the first mornings light.

 

I dream of you when I am awake.

Dreaming of the nights, we play.

 

I your feel touch when distance separates us.

I long for your whispers softly said.

 

Your eyes watch my every move.

I blush knowing that you love me so.

 

I can smell your scent on my lips.

I taste your breath on me as I dream of you.

 

You are part of me; my every breath is yours.

Your desires and dreams are my every wish.

 

You are part of me more than you know.

What a beautiful love poem---and you titled it perfectly.
I have written several and sent them in to THE ROMANTIC HOURS radio show that originates in New York City. It is a weekend evening production with classic music and poetry. Dont' know if its on in your area or not but it's another option to get our poetry out there to the public. This is the perfect type of passionate poem they love to receive. They also read classical poetry of the ages.

Made you a error above slight. And don't worry, I've done this many times myself. That's why I often read out loud anything I typed even when I think it's done cause bananas to bunches, I've made some crazy grammar error somewhere in there. :)

As for the poem, it is a wonderful thing when we believe we are in perfect harmony with our mate. Unfortunately I have found as years pass on, this is not always the case. Moods and lives change.

If one is to maintain a relationship with another, one must YIELD to these variances and accommodate to the changes that occur. This can be considered generous and gracious, but ultimately maintains a strong fidelity and connection with your lover.

So - an easier way of thinking about it. The more good you do for your mate, the more paths you have set to a future stability. All these things are considered, whether awake or asleep, consciously, or unconsciously. Our very footsteps determine the paths set by others for the future.

The checks and balances of the heart and mind if you will.
