Heart under GlassA Poem by ronHeart under Glass
I sit and wonder. Have I done something so horrible to another?
My heart is not my own. It belongs to the one that can carry it home.
Under a sliver of glass, it waits. It is not on display for the world to see.
It sits there beating slowly, helplessly, painfully. Wishing to be loved again.
Caught and suspended in time. It remembers faintly, of a time when it was mine. © 2013 ronFeatured Review
