A Poets dreams

Does a poet dream of things that cannot be?

Could a poet change the things that are and will be?

Can a poet make you believe?

Will the poet make you fall in love?

All I ask is that you read the words that are before you.

Please listen to my words they have so many places to be.

Please listen to the world before you.

I'm listening (reading ?) And, I can't find too many nouns in this poem. And - because of this it's hard to tell what is what. Abstraction can be a wonderful thing.

But it call also be a cloudy metaphor signifying intangibility. I definitely like the works I can picture in my head, where I can see myself there - and you've shown admirable and meritable skill of this in your earlier works.

I agree. Poets do all the above. I am not a very good poet, I am more of a shory story writer myself. But I can sometimes hammer out a pretty decnet poem. Great job!

Thank you. Yes we do.
Does a poet dream of things that cannot be? A poet dreams of things ungifted persons can not see, a poet reaches into the tunnel of the subconcious and that is not easy for most people.

Could a poet change the things that are and will be? Yes, Julius Verne is a perfect example.

Can a poet make you believe? A poet can make you see multiple interpretations.

Will the poet make you fall in love? A poet can ignite images with words on another person to imagine, and those images can create an illusion just as falling in love is an illusion.
