How should you show me this thing?

How should you show me this thing?

A Poem by ron

How should you show me this thing?

Does it burn like sulfur in your mouth?

Does it taste of death all around?

What of the hearts that burn so bright.

What of the love that has died tonight?

What of a poet's dream that lingered and felt the sting?

What of the love that will never come to life, like a summer’s spring?

Do you cast us into the depths of the shadows?

Do you relish in your darkened skies?

I bring to you love in its infancy.

I will show you things beyond you imagery.

Come to me and let me show you a world that is a possibility.

As with all writing, Ron, it is in the eyes of reader. And yes, readers do see the words either on paper or in the computer screen and if it's written well, it will most definitely paint pictures in the mind of the setting you are conveying to them.

Poetry, at least I have found, should always have a point to it. Something that the reader might forget later and then go back to re-read it again later and remember what it is they liked about it and why it was useful to them.
