Free from My PrisonA Poem by ronFree from My Prison
Caught between sleep and dreams, I wait for you and places you will take me. Never knowing, always hoping you will come to release me from this prison.
Shackled to this earthly body, my mind cannot fly. I lay here in my prison free to walk in the light.
I will not beg or plead for you to release me; I am just a man who waits and sighs. Come to me, take me On your journey, and speed me away on gossamer wings.
As I slip in to my prison of dreams, your hand reaches out to set me free. Take me now and let me fall, into your world so serene.
We travel farther into places I have never seen before. The silver string that held me bound broke and disappeared long ago.
Forgotten are my woes and pains. In this place, I shall remain. © 2013 ronFeatured Review
