Love comes at the end of Summer

Love comes at the end of Summer

You had not smiled much that last year.

Between your boyfriend breaking up with you because you told him you liked other women and your boss cutting your hours at work to all most nothing, you felt like your whole world was crashing down around you.

So when I insisted that you come with me to the beach for the last month of summer you reluctantly agreed.

It was the last week of the vacation as we slowly walked hand in hand down the beach.

The sun was setting and no one seemed to be around. Most of the people had already left or were busy site seeing in town.

We found our favorite spot; it was an alcove of sorts.

We had found it earlier that month and made a promise to visit it at least once more before our vacation was over.

We found the blankets still hidden in its place. You spread it out while I opened the bottle of wine and poured us each a glass.

We sat and enjoying the wine, sunset, and each other’s company.

I looked at you and saw you smile ever so faintly for the first time in the last year.

I smiled and took your hand. Everything will work out I promise.

You turned to face me, blushing and quietly said, “You know I have never kissed another girl in my life”. “But tonight, with you I would like to.”

I almost cried at that moment. I have wanted to kiss you from the very second I met you. You have a glow about you that somehow made me feel complete.

I leaned in and kissed you, we lay in each other’s arms with the salt air brushing over us like a painters brush on a canvas.

I closed my eyes and inhaled every last bit of you.

Hoping, if this was dreaming I would never wake up.

Your hands were shy as they traveled over unfamiliar territory.

I whispered, “You already know what you want, don’t be afraid to explore.”

For hours your fingers, hands, and mouth tempted every inch of my body.

Exploring places, you only dreamed of before as you undressed me.

After you were done I whispered, “I will be tender and loving.”

You surrendered yourself to me that night.

For the rest of our life’s we have never looked back.

We have found in each other a love that few in this world have experienced.

I love this :) It shows that where the heart truly wants to be, it should and will be, inevitably...sometimes life robs us of choice and we have to be brave and be true to ourselves! Lovely work xx
