The QuestionA Poem by ronThe Question
What if, we are not who we are? What if, we are someone else, and just looking through their eyes?
Could we ever find ourselves? Would we want to and if so why?
Am I me because I think? Or are you me because you think you are? Therefore, who are we?
The question you see is not so complicated a thing. It begs an answer that does not really have a question at all.
In the end, who are we if not ourselves? That is not really the answer to the question we seek?
Are we just fooling ourselves into believing we are who we are not? Is it the other person, asking the question that seeks the answer to your question that I could not possibly answer, because I am me who you are?
I think I shall contemplate the answer to the question that you did not ask. Because if you did not ask it then it must have been me. © 2013 ronAuthor's Note
