A promise we made

 

Caught in her stare I was frozen in time.

Caught by her love I could do no wrong.

 

Slowly I stepped unable to move.

Slowly she loved, no word had been spoken.

 

Quickly she showed me the dreams that she held.

Quickly I wept; in her arms, I was held.

 

I lost my way when she asked me to stay.

I lost my way when she loved me this way.

 

Time was forgotten, could it have been just a night.

Time froze silent as my dreams she fulfilled.

 

I begged her to free me, she cried as she released me.

Frozen in time, that dream I return.

 

She made me a promise.

I begged her to stay.

 

Now we are lost in the dreams that we make.

Dreams can sometimes mimic reality.. I think of dreams and memories sometimes as snow-globes.. You cant really live inside them but they are so beautiful to look at and dream in...and sometimes they can really shake the world.. This had a nice flow to it Ron.. xo

Not sure if you meant, "stair" or "stare." You are mentioning, "slowly I stepped" so it could be a personification of emotions. "Stairway To Heaven ?"

Other than that, nicely written. :) And no, I have no girl to show me her dreams, not in the entirety you speak of, so you are one lucky boy to find someone so open and loving ...
