Broken Heart

Broken Heart

A broken heart, what will they find.

When I wonder, in and out of time.

Time will heal all wounds they say.

But for those of us, who have a broken heart know of its pain.

Torn at the core, broken once more.

The pain that stays never wishes to explore.

But it’s the cross we bare, once more we begin to tear.

The traveling heart, the romantic within, seeks true love at every door.

What will they find when once more I cry?

The heart and soul it binds me to life.

Two hearts that are broken, can finally find piece when one door is opened.

Who will knock on my door and let me in to explore once more.

Give me your pain your broken heart so tame.

I will show you mine and quietly explain.

My heart is a fragile soul that will seek love in the darkest door.

Please shine your light for me to see, the love you seek in all that you see.

As I've gotten older Ron, I have found a broken heart can in fact be a voluntary thing. Find your comfort zone. Remember what I wrote in Monday's Wit & Wisdom ?

"26. Care about what others think about you and you will always be their prisoner."

At some point you have to live for yourself. I have found the quickest way to find someone interested in you is to not go looking for them. They come to you. They seem to know when you're looking and when you're not - and I can't explain the logic in that, but if you're not looking - they are.

It's a great poem. The description of the broken, or shredded, or torn heart... the emotions that go with it, the lost, empty feeling due to the piece of your heart taken away...
You did an amazing job describing it all. And though I've never been in a relationship, I think I can understand what it's like to have broken love, thanks to your poem. :)
Great job!
Sylvia.
