Beauty is not just skin deep

 

Outside beauty seen is beauty only skin-deep.

To see the core of beauty is to see it for what it truly is.

 

Some see beauty for what it shows and not what is deeper.

Passion, love, and caring; these are the heart that make up who we are.

 

What good is an outside beauty if the core is ugly and without remorse.

Dig deeper to see who you are, and not some superficial garnish, to display and adore.

 

Be the one that sees beyond the trappings of the ones that try to keep up.

Be the one that quietly admires the ones no one else can see and not make up.

I agree with Sami. We ought to have this poem posted somewhere really crowded. That way people can remember that you're not being YOU if you're pretending. You're outside beauty doesn't matter. It's the inside beauty that counts. People now a days really need to remember that and your poem says it so simply and elegantly that the whole world ought to read and memorize it.
