The Approach

Soft timid glances as we wonder about the other.

Slowly I approach afraid of what you would think of a person such as me.

Introducing me to you makes my heart beat faster and faster.

This is the hardest thing I have ever done.

A thousand things that can go wrong at this moment race through my mind.

Will you laugh at me or make silly jokes at my expense?

Will you take my approach out of pity?

All of who I am wrapped up in this moment of time.

My voice cracks and the words stumble out.

My courage is lost and I run away in shame.

I sit in a spare room ashamed of my failure.

Slowly you come in to see if I am ok.

You sit on the bed next to me.

Taking my hand in yours, you whisper…I was afraid you would not talk to me.

I look up to see the most beautiful person I have ever seen sitting next to me...me this lonely person.

A word of advice Ron. I have often told myself, I would rather be a fool than a nobody. If you are a nobody, nobody cares. At least if you are a fool, people enjoy your company so they can laugh at your jokes, wit, and interpretations of life.

And never forget - you are not the only lonely person in the world. The person with whom you have had your eye on for so long, may be just like you, miles away in her thoughts, writing poetry, and hoping to find the perfect personal and close friend. Please consider ...

There ya go, I'm going to head out in an hour, realize the words you have spoken above, many people have in their own unique way. And in your searching for someone, Ron, ask yourself the important questions - what do you plan to do when you find them ?

Writing poetry perhaps about how you would treat such a person should you meet may well be an Online invitation to someone of mutual respect and shared emotions, something to consider.

Sometimes it is not enough we wear our heart on our sleeves, we must put glitter on it as well. :)

And curiously enough, I did not know it was ba dee bee da ... uhhm ... I always thought they were saying, "I believe I will die." which made a lot more sense to me. You can't live in a world of blue all your life, Ron. I know there's a comfort zone to that, and believe me - I'm aware of this.

ALL MY CLOTHES ARE BLUE. I kid you not. It's only in the past 2-years have I finally started to get other colored clothes with images and stuff on them. And yet today - I still miss my solid blue clothes, I have them hanging up, but now only wear them for formal occasions.
