Where are you?

Where are you?

A Poem by Kate

The red-gold sunlight filters through my blinds
I feel the warmth on my face and lean out to touch
The other side of my bed
It is cold

I think to myself
Where are you

Where are you
The one I will love to the end of my days
The one I will always support
The one who will not mind my rambling
The one with whom I can sing a shower duet
The one who will fix a creaky cabinet
The one who will not want to ask directions
The one who will love my cooking
The one who likes cats
The one who will make sure I will never have to wear a flannel nightgown
The one I will trust
The one I will follow to the ends of the Earth

I think to myself
Where are you

I think this is good and it has a lot of meaning to it. It gives me the feeling of being lonely and it truly makes me think about where that one person is, or if there is even that one person for me.
