Where are you?A Poem by Kate
The red-gold sunlight filters through my blinds
I feel the warmth on my face and lean out to touch The other side of my bed It is cold I think to myself Where are you Where are you The one I will love to the end of my days The one I will always support The one who will not mind my rambling The one with whom I can sing a shower duet The one who will fix a creaky cabinet The one who will not want to ask directions The one who will love my cooking The one who likes cats The one who will make sure I will never have to wear a flannel nightgown The one I will trust The one I will follow to the ends of the Earth I think to myself Where are you © 2011 Kate |
