A Poem by lettuce

So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
Aim for the stars and I shouldn't have missed
But I was riding on fumes so I stopped for a dime

We hold our heads high
Keep our chins up
Cause when we die
We can ask God what's up

When your legs don't work like they used to before
People complain when they don't realize they're blessed
See things through to the very minimal
If you're not worried, you won't be stressed

I liked this one a lot. I felt that the music reference (at least in number two) was fairly well added to the work, whether that was deliberate or not I really don't know though. Furthermore, I like this lax approach to life. I agree that someone that has no stress only got that way if they didn't allow things to ruin them. That last line exemplifies this way of life. Moreover, the ask God what's up line was fairly straight forward, and I like that--it felt like a dialogue with a real human being, and not some formal command from some higher entity writing this piece of poetry with divine inspiration. E.g. I felt like you were saying to me "ask god what's up." and not writing some fancy dancy stuff like "question the higher one why, and ask how this all could possibly ever be, you peasant" etc. anyways. I like it.
