Torn

Torn

A Poem by Lina
"

When you just don't know what to believe in, or who to trust, or if anyone can be trustworthy

"

Torn between truths and lies

and between wrongs and rights

with no reason to follow faith

but fear expelled upon their state

nothing but endless and silent torments

that tear and pick at the major vitals

palpitations and beatings, flowing streams

from soul to logic, from emotion to thought

from brain to heart.

Whos to say what path is best,

what path is true

what path is done

whos to say that there is but one

there is no world without love and hate.

I think it's a little bit childish, but I i think the point is not very childish. What do you think?

I would say the overall feeling of the piece is akin to yin and yang, black and white and the cyclical nature of life's constant spinning. The words hold value along the lines of what I believe in, so i'm able to relate to much of it. I feel that everything has it's polar opposites and no matter how much they clash in reality, they are needed to keep an overall balance in the world. We as the living can only do our best to hold onto the rough ride at times and learn from the experiences endured on the journey.

Really good ink!

I believe you are right in what you said on the last line. Yet in my opinion I would much rather have a world with out hate. It would be much more peaceful and kind. Yes also I believe that enough torment would feel like what you have described: "that tear and pick at the major vitals"
Wonderful job!
Beautifully written!

I like it! And, I don't think it's childish. I think it's succinct and makes its impact.
