It’s tongue in cheek humour I get it
I drank heavy after my separation from 2005 to a few years ago really
I admit I had an alcoholic problem
Probably would drink the excess alcohol too if I could but due to a heart problem incidentally which was brought on by the poison I am not to drink so ....
Yes I could say I’m an alcoholic that abstains due to health heart issues
Not sure if I would drink heavy again now even if I didn’t have a heart issue but I’ll never know as I’m sober now last two years or so I like it too I like my calming t bags and sure it’s not the same I still miss it the poison lol but do not miss the hospital admissions or problems with my ticker

Ha-ha, yeah, I know how that works. A funny little poem about a weakness some of us have. (Well, maybe a LOT of us!)

Sometimes, recovering alcoholics "fall off the wagon." One misstep is neither weakness nor the end and, hopefully, they will show real strength and accept help to continue their recovery.

To me, that's something we all need to be able to tell ourselves. Success isn't a one a done thing. Success is a journey. Everyone needs to give themselves permission to fail once in a while -- and not beat themselves up over "a bump in the road" -- so they can keep succeeding. I think that applies to all aspects of life, actually.
Roland, glad to see you again! I think I have gone through this at least once or twice, life sometimes plays a very intense game to keep us on our toes and let us slip every now and then, sometimes we wish we didn't though.
