A Rainbow of Humor

Ah, the colors of the rainbow!

Red is for anger, with passion and stink

As a prefix for bull, a complete nonsense drink

Yellow is cowardice, it's running away

Yellow's what's running in the pants of the prey

Green is for envy, it's coveting things

It's the color you turn with what bad shellfish brings

Blue is for cold, sadness, and song

With black and then and, something went wrong

Violet is royalty, it's plush and it's rich

Violet's a girl, and boy she's a....um....nice girl

Not many more chances, 'cause I'm growing old

To see perfect rainbows and dig for the gold

All the colours, and they strangely have so many meanings for us. What would we do without the ability to see in colour? I really love the rhyme in this one, it suits the subject very well! :o)

You must have enjoyed writing this! The play on words is lovely, taking the opposite. Red is for love
yellow for wisdom etc and turning them round with great affect. It makes one listen closely and is an enjoyable read.
