I Broke the Law

It was an accident!

I stretched the law and it broke

I wasn't on crack, I don't smoke

It just snapped apart in my hands

Put a damper on all of my plans

The right say I'm beyond the pale

To the left I'm a hero unjustly in jail

I say I'm just an ordinary bloke

Who stretched the law

And the law broke

Yes, Woody; one day something can be against the law, then one day it isn't. Hmm, that means the law is fluid. Maybe it should be "I poured the law and it spilled"?
