The Project and Meeting

Chapter One

In the Salven high school classroom there are 24 students desks, one teacher desk, one teacher, 23 students watching, and one project on the screen! My project on Darkside kingdom. I seem to be at the end of the presentation so "And that is all." That’s when everyone’s index fingers rose, then fell. 

Tap, tap, tap, tap tapping kept going like tapping was for me! To drive me crazy.

“You will die for being with that demon.” Classmate looked at me! Wait, what demon? What is he talking about? “You should have never been born!” The tapping stopped, the students rose and started walking to the front of the classroom, walking right at me!

“No no…” I jolted awake “NO!!!!” I looked around, no one was there.  Just my messy room with my TV, bookshelf, dresser, empty laundry basket,and night stand. “It was just a dream where is my clock?” I looked at the floor, there it was, broken “I need to tell the store manager that I owe him and I need a new alarm clock.”

“Hey babe, time get up” I looked up and saw someone I thought I loved but again I am wrong. I mean he was the one who said that this relationship wouldn’t work.

“Yeah, you're also right on one other thing.” I looked at him and he knew what I meant.

“Right,” he walked into the room grabbed his stuff and put on his pants. Then he looked at me and he looked like he was about to cry “bye”

“Here we go,” I got out of bed, walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and use the toilet.Then walked to my dresser and got ready for the first day of school.

“Hey Abner,” I looked around to find my best friend Alice Clarence wearing the school uniform which was okay, the girls are a red dragon tie, red dragon circling around the shirt, and a skirt with similar design. “don't forget that we have a  school project today” That’s when I heard a crack in the floor behind me, and by the looks of it Alice did too! Both me and Alice knew what to do and so Alice continued talking "so if you are late you can get the project on the Darkside Kingdom."

“I know, I know see you at school!” I pushed her out the door and locked the door. “good she is gone" walking into the living room to the kitchen to close the curtains "hey kid” I turned my head to see a little scared werewolf child peeking out of my hall closet “you lost?”

He looked at me a complete stranger but still answered me “yes.”

I turned my whole body around and smiled, “okay let's get you home.” after I eat so I walked back into my room grab two bags one book bag one to put the little guy in “here” I bent over and  gave him the bag “get in I can get you into the forest fast this why” I smiled stood up and walked to the kitchen while hoping he would understand the situation.

He nodded and got in but as I turned around he asked me “Why are you helping me I thought human people only hate us?” 

When I looked back at him  he looked scared so I walk to him, pick him up and put him on my shoulder and smile “because I believe in people whether human or demonics, like you shouldn’t be treated differently because you look different but the same because we live in the same world okay?” he nodded as he sat on my shoulder “okay you okay in there? I mean your lower half” I could feel he was crying “You hungry?”

He nodded so we walked over to the bookshelf to use as a seat lift and put him in a chair. Since the bag was half on he was able to eat.

“Wait here I bring you a plate of food” the food took about an hour but food was finally done “Here hope you like the way I cook.” I said with a smile it had sausages, eggs, baked potato, toast, and orange juice. He took one bite and he was off after he was done, we put him in the bag complete by body except the head, and I made sure he was comfortable so not to hurt him “hey you comfy in there?” he nodded and ducked his head in and I would go into a town that hates demons.

So I put on my backpack first then put the little guy on my chest to make sure he had a safe ride there since I was taking my bike, after I was done making sure everything is safely secured, I grabbed my keys, walk to the front door, unlock the front door, walk out the door then locked it, all I could think was how hard is it to do a simple task like this for everyone? 

After I locked the door again, I walked over to my bike just like I would during my summers, plus I had to look at my phone to check the time because the ride usually takes about an hour. So I took the bike chains on the bike, and while I biked all the way to the east forest, the only way to go in and out of the dark kingdom which passed the border. As I got there two older wolves were there “please our son ran off in there”

“No you can’t come in without a promet.” two guards stood there and two wolves.

“Hey sir,” the two guards and wolves looked at me I smiled and took the chest bag, and bookbag off. I put down my bookbag near my bike while I set down the chest bag in front of me, and waved a good nature “I have him” so I open the bag gently so I wouldn’t hurt him in anyway and uncover him “Come on little guy grab my hand” as he did  I stood up and walked  across the border they ran at me “here you go sir, I gave him sausages, eggs, baked potato, toast, and orange juice for breakfast if that’s okay”

He waves his okay “Thank you young man for taking care of him,” when I looked at them I realized that they look so happy having their son back.

As I looked at his mom she looked up at me. “Is there anything we can do?” the lady wolf asked.

I waved my hands and nodded “No,” I turned around and walked to my bike got on then said, “you can just be happy that you have your son back” because most people would turn him into a sport and kill him. So with a smile on my face I turned yet again and biked to school even though I will be late to first period.

Yay Darkside project I think that the only thing I am looking forward to! I mean yeah a place full of the unknown but when I got to school it was stranger than usual because everyone was outside looking for something with THE KING OF DARKSIDE KINGDOM! KINGEUS HUMZA FIREKING! I mean it had to be a red cloak that look like blood gold trim on the outside of it and not to mention the black and yellow trim on his clothing and on it horns with his age hair, and least is red black blue eyes, and finally his tail swishing around with a mac at the very end it had to be  him, and he was looking my way as I bike into the bike rack, slowly so not to hurt myself.

Then Alice pointed to me “There he is,” that was Alice and angry no not just that she running to me pissed “what you do idiot?” she whispered in my ear like I should be in trouble.

“Excuse me young lady,” Alice walked way mouthing your dead meat man, I gulped “are you Abner Matthew Miles Blythe?”

“Y… yes I am why do you need me? Did I do something wrong?” as I stood up off my bike.

“No,” he laughed a little, “actually quite the opposite, I am here to invite you and your family to a dinner for you helping the lost people of my kingdom back into the kingdom” Family, I got super depressed at the word but everyone look so surprised that I was being invited to the Darkside Kingdom castle. 

I cheered up real quick and said, “only me the reasons are private but I will come to your castle.”

“Okay my son will be with me see you there,” handing me a piece of paper, then he took a few steps back spreading out his wings and flew up and back to the Darkside Kingdom that is when everyone looked at me directly!

“What?” I looked at everyone and they all shook their heads in response. Then I looked at my teacher, “hey Miss. Walker my project is on the Darkside Kingdom right?” I looked at Miss Walker

She looked back at me “Yes,” she composed herself  “your project is on Darkside Kingdom

“Good may I please skip today get ready for the castle thing?”

“Hang on there mister,” Miss Walker walked to me “you must write a five page report on five different beasts of Darkside Kingdom here are the questions you need to answer.”

“Okay,” taking the paper I nodded then turned my bike around so I could get a suit,medicine, food, and clothing for me and the people of Darkside Kingdom!

“Okay I am ready,” everything is packed and ready to go that is when I heard a honk so I ran to the window to see a Darkside Kingdom car with their dragon emblem flag, and two huge werewolves were outside, I walk to the door and say “hey can you guy coming and park in the garage need some help with a few things.” one werewolf came to the door well the other park the car “okay closing garage door,” then I looked at the other one “you come with me please sir” he seemed taken aback by my kind words.

We walk to my dining room where I came from moments ago, that is when the other one walks in through the garage door in the kitchen.“good can you help me get this stuff in the car?” They see food, medicine, and clothing marked for the people of Darkside Kingdom.

“Younger master” they looked confused “why did you get all this?”

“Abner, please,” they looked even more confused.

“Why are you doing this spending your money like you want peace or owning a det?” I could tell they had never seen a human kindness to their race before.

“Because I wish you don't have to be the same species to be kind right?”

“I see,” they walk forward put a hand on my shoulder “leave this to use you finish getting ready okay?”

“I am no hurry” we all laughed together like no worries in the world

After the car was packed and ready we started moving to the border. We stopped so they could show what we had. They explained why they had some much they said to me. They knocked on my window. The guys that asked me were deaf and muted so he knew sign language so I signed Yes, sir, it's for the  people from me. He gave a thumbs up and let us through. “You have many talents don’t you?”

“Yes sir,”

“Wait you said no formale talk so call me and him by the names Max and Trevor okay?”

“Of course Trevor I am cool with that.” he kept driving until it clicked in his mind what I just said.

The car jolted to a stop as the driver who was Trevor turned around took off his glasses and said “how do you know I was Trevor?”

“You guys talking earlier,” this answer took him back a little “you said each other names when packing the stuff.”

“Okay, how can you tell us apart hmm?” It was like he didn’t believe me.

“Your voice, your is slightly deeper than Max’s,” then I look at the time, “oh no, we have to hurry about to be late! I want to give the people the stuff before I go to the King!”

“Your right okay buckle up,” he turned back around and putting the glass items like bowls, plates, and cups on the pass I grabbed my seat belt and buckle it up tight as can be then I was ready, “hey close your mouth hard” I did so then boom we were there so fast I mean it didn’t feel real, one minutes I was surrounded by the east forest and next at the gates of the Darkside Kingdom, but we were there, then the car was stopped in the entrance, “okay how you want to do this?”

Told them to call the King so he could come down to the center of town. They did so with a smile.

“Guards where is the boy?”

“Right here sorry, can you call the people here please? I bring gifts!”

The King looked behind me to see four whole tables with some stuff with stuff left to be put out nodded then he took a step back and few flaps up, “PEOPLE OF THE DARKSIDE KINGDOM, COME TO CENTER OF THE TOWN A HUMAN BRINGS GIFTS”

I smiled then the people came ill and well hardly clothed and clothed to hot then I felt sad, “Hello my name is Abner,” everyone started to bow, “NO! STOP! Please I do not come to be bowed to but come to help bring smiles, hope and joy, back to the people of Darkside Kingdom.” everyone was taken aback by the comment itself “So I want you to walk up elders and sick come up first please!”

Then started lining up we started passing out to kids, adults, and elders. In the end the only thing lift was the cake and I was glad. “Your majesty,” he looked behind me, “May I ask where your son is” I wondered if I felt something behind me. A handsome boy, he had white clothes with gold trim black feather wings and a spiked Tail very thin in size. His eyes were another thing blue black eyes where the whites of eyes on humans I should be and green around the Black  Iris. “Y...y...you must be Scottheart am I have something for you pointing to the end of the table. He walked to the end of the table and opened his gift and was surprised.

“How did you know?” that is when everyone saw the birthday cake, and looked at me.

“Research, I am glad that I could be here for your birthday Prince Scottheart” with a huge smile and hand out, “let's be friends cool?”

“No, I don’t friend human but if I can trust you I will.” He looked at me, I think he was trying to size me up. “by the end of tonight you have to make me trust you got it?”

I nodded, “of course,” then I remembered turned around to the king, “almost forgot I need to talk to a dragon, demon, werewolf, vampire, and griffin”

Then the prince said, “Why do you need to talk to them?” When I looked over my shoulders I saw he was going for a weapon because he was worried.

I giggled and turned to the prince, “research project on people of Darkside Kingdom”

“Wait is that one you want?” then he looked directly at me and asked ”or only project left you could get?”

“Both actually,” turned back around to ask what the king's answer was about  to talk when something hit me.

“Thanks for stopping this teath” putting a hand out and up about to hit the kid I was going to say something but his hand was already in motion to strike the kid so I grabbed him, “come here” the little guys look scared.

I grabbed the guy hand everyone got ready for and attacked I put my other hand out everyone to back off then I moved my hand on to the back of the kid and said “stop one minute please,” he looked pissed yet didn’t care “hey kid?” no answer so I stepped in front of him to let the other guy go and did sign language.

Hey kid you know why this guy is after you?

He nodded no

You stole the food did you see a free sign?

He nodded yes

Then it was for higher up food not that apple, don’t worry I will explain.

I got up grabbed the apple gently and moved my hand to the guy, “he saw a free sign and though it meant this food grabbed it by mistake” 

The store owner then immediately calmed down, while looking down in shock, he pushed the apple back at me saying “give the kid the apple” I nodded with a smile glad it worked out this way

I hand the kid the apple then said in sign language You can have he said

He smiled and ran I smiled until he was out of sight “Why did you chase? And scared him” The prince yelled at the store owner, he must have been pissed. Okay Abner just one more time you got this.

“I am sorry, your majesty” the store owner looked frightened.

“It’s okay I would have,” I tried turning around then I started to fall. “done the same” I hit the ground and next thing I know I am in a bed “am where am I?”

“In my family castle are you okay wip?” I had a bad reaction again, starting to hate my past again.

“Sorry the incident from early must have trigger may bad memories again sorry”

As I got out of bed he grabbed me, “I don't believe I'm asking this but what bad memories?”

“I was in a car accident and lost almost everything” I start crying “Your right I am a bit of a wip but at least I handled that better than I thought.”

“I lost my mother giving her eye to a human she saved” I turned around, “anyway, make sure you get  some sleep your apartment was burned down so right now you live here okay?” 

I nodded okay, my head hurt and my sealed eye felt worried why now and to that name? had thought back for an hour and I remembered her last name, quickly sat up because I heard something. “Hello?”

“Calm down its m…” I realized it was the prince then I saw a fire and planic, “why is your right eye looking like a demon's eye?”

“WHAT!?” jumped up and what he said was turn the eye so secret that the village people even sealed away has un-sealed itself “no not this not now”

Then his father walked in, and realized the very same moment, “That’s my wife's eye!” I ran  to the door but the king was there and the prince not far behind 

“Your not passing us”

I stopped right then turned around and jumped out the window into the forest on castle grounds.

“Father where is he?” I could see them right under me I was in the tree but right then the king flew up and saw something a human should never have been seen with, hell's eye.

“Come down, here I will help you down,” I jumped back scared of what will happen “don’t worry I, no we will not hurt you.”

I stretched out my hand still scared of what will happen next, but the king grabbed my hand, pulled me into his armies, and slowly brought me down.

Then his son approached me and we then where back in the room I ran away from with the king and prince in the doorway still.
