UncoveredA Poem by RogerhA little love poem I wrote to about my exWould the people you think you know run away from your fire? They think you are a firecracker but I know you’re dynamite A load of gunpowder that is packaged up so tight If it were ever unwrapped would blow up in my face An atom bomb that is buttoned up by prim and by lace I can hear the tree crack from the wind wanting out To calm the truth and blow away all of your self-doubt If you keep a fire buried deep in a covered pit It will soon extinguish from oxygen not getting to it When fire meets ice oh the steam it slowly does rise I would like to be the one to wipe the mist from your eyes I’d give anything to be the one that you let curl your toes To be the one caught up in the middle of your throws Let me remove the kryptonite that keeps your inhibitions subdued Take my love and use it to build yourself a Fortress of Solitude I would love to pour your creamy white thighs into my coffee cup of leisure Be my Lois Lane of love and I will be your Superman of pleasure The lips you use to force a smile for those you think you know Are the lips I would kiss to open wide and let the truth flow Would people be shocked at the way you let down your hair? Would it matter since that is the real you that has always been there? But you would rather keep hidden the treasure buried deep inside To keep the status quo while your real love ways are forever denied © 2017 Rogerh |
