Halfway

Halfway

A Poem by Rodney Ray Hatchell / Unheardsong

                        Halfway

We live in a world with the fallen Arch
Angle he fail from  heaven.
As he marches across the globe his ways
of sin spreads rapid  as a forest fire
devouring the souls of mankind.
His a salt that’s lost its savor.
He cripples the weak in thinking God
doesn’t hear there prayers so what’s the
use to pray if all God going to do is
nothing  his lies sink deep into the souls
of man.
Wait there are signs that tells us God is
with us every moment .
He assigned a bud to bloom into a
beautiful flower  and it’s fragrant to
enchants it‘s beauty.
God took a rainy night and turned it into
a beautiful day that’s more than halfway.
Come watch a sunset deep into the sea
leaving a master piece only he can do.
Come watch Christians face death you‘ll
see there’s a joy they find in dieing as
they know where there bound, God is
waiting, closer than halfway.
Gods love is so great he didn’t wait for us
halfway.
He sent his son all the way to the cross
and into our hearts.
Halfway wasn’t good enough for God.
