new song/poem

As I lay here
with tears in my eyes
I think about you
and I start to cry
I wish about things
that I wish I had
but those things
I will never have
I invision your smile
and your bright blue eyes
how I wish you were here
laying by my side
someone to comfort
someone to love
like an angel with wings
you were sent from above
so as I lay here
alone at night
I think about you
as I turn off the light
like a shining star
that illuminates the sky
I wish to see you
when I open my eyes
