why?

Why?


I never did you wrong
I thought we were friends
That we were gonna stick together
Until our bitter ends

You felt differently
You wanted something more
That there was more between us
That you want to explore

I wasn’t the same
We were going good
I would replay our time together
If only I could

You got angry
You took it out on me
We will never, ever
Be the same as we used to be

I hurt so bad
You felt so empowered
You shoved me into there
Over me you towered

I’ve never spoken of this moment
Not until now
How long ago it was
But to recover,
I’m not sure how

There’s one question that’s lingered
Lingered and there it stood by
My mind kept asking me….
Why?
